Decades ago, the founder’s grandparents established a small knitwear business, passing down knowledge through hands-on practice, repetition, and care.

As years passed, this traditional family workshop transformed into a family-run knit lab—an evolving space shaped by curiosity and experimentation. Techniques were tested, machines adapted, and craftsmanship continuously refined, allowing tradition and innovation to grow side by side.

Today, Athens Knit Lab remains the creative and production heart of Alea Jacta. It is where inherited skills meet modern machinery and design research, and where generations of experience are translated into contemporary knit accessories.
